Online FIWOE Course
Due to popular demand, we have found the need to develop an online version of our Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment & Crew Resource Management course. This course can be taken in lieue of the full single day training course.
This course is designed to be taken by an INDIVIDUAL Student under his/her Username
and is not to be presented to a group in a group setting.
The quiz is also to be taken on an INDIVIDUAL basis and not by a group or in a group setting.
A strong and stable internet connection is recommended for best viewing performance.
Details of the course:
The cost of the course is $275.00 USD per Student.
The Online Course and Quiz takes approximately four - five hours to complete. There is a 41 question Quiz at the end of the course. Students must attain a passing score of 85% or better on the Quiz in order to receive a Course Completion Certificate. Students will have three attempts to pass the quiz and will be locked out on the fourth attempt. A Course Completion Certificate will be emailed to the Student when he/she has passed the Quiz. No refunds will be provided if a Student does not pass the Quiz after the third attempt or if he/she does not receive a Course Completion Certificate.
We suggest that Students take the course in one sitting (if possible) and take notes.
Individuals can sign up and pay with their individual credit cards IN THEIR OWN NAME online using the steps below.
The software will presume that the name on the credit card being used for the purchase and the Student taking the course are the same person. The name on the Credit Card being used will be the name printed on the Course Completion Certificate.
If a company or individual wants to pay for another individual or group of their employees or contractors to take the course, please instead contact Karen Mybeck at either our office number at 219.662.8175 or by email. It can take 2-3 business days before groups have access to the online course. Payment must be received BEFORE a group of Students will be setup to access the online course.
Steps to enroll as an Individual Student:
If you wish to pay for multiple students at one time, or to pay for another student, do not proceed. Instead, please contact us.

- You will have one week from the date of purchase to pass the exam before your account expires.

I understand that my taking the “Online Flying in the Wire and Obstruction Environment & Crew Resource Management” course is no guarantee that I will not have an aviation accident, but that it will provide me with the tools I need to fly more consciously aware of the dangers and hazards of flying in the wire environment.
I understand that if this course is not taken INDIVIDUALLY and if all modules/videos are not viewed in their entirety before the quiz is taken, that Utilities Aviation Specialists has the right to revoke and invalidate my course completion certificate.
No refund will be provided if the Student did not follow these directives.
